After 2 decades of touring with The Brand New Heavies and partying all over the world, I spent the lockdown reminiscing over some of these fun times, and dreaming up my ultimate night out. And that’s exactly what The Jazz Funk Supper Club is. I’ve always noticed that there is a disconnect with the live show and the “night out”. Both should be as one, I feel fans of live music want the whole evening to be one amazing experience.

I’ll be very hands on, curating each night’s live music and ensuring that the food and drink is top quality. Jazz, Funk and Soul music is multi layered and I want to share some of the left of centre stuff that one wouldn’t ordinarily get to hear in a public setting. The type of artist I’ll be booking will need to have that magical spark, that raw talent you can hear and feel within the first few seconds of hearing them sing or play. From up and coming talent, to more established artists, I’ll be keeping things interesting and a bit edgy in places. It’s about high-quality informal dining, great live music then an after-party style DJ set that’ll fill the floor…the ultimate Jazz-Funk night out.
